One-time, temporary, and recurring codes

Does the BIO smart lock work on Wi-Fi?

The BIO lock is connected to your phone via Bluetooth. If you purchase a Wi-Fi bridge for remote control, the lock will be connected to your home Wi-Fi, allowing you to receive real-time notifications and connect quickly for remote opening.

What happens if the internet at home goes down?

If the internet at home goes down, you can still open the lock via Bluetooth via your mobile phone, and with all other means of identification, such as a fingerprint, for example. The only features that will not work until then are remote opening and the ability to synchronize records (log of entries and exits).

What happens if the batteries run out?

The BIO lock will warn you ahead of time that the batteries are low and recommend that you charge the rechargeable battery. If you haven't reached that point, and the batteries have run out, you can always connect a portable charger to the lock's external panel and provide temporary power to the smart lock, then open the door. Don't have a portable charger? You can also always use the regular mechanical key.

How does the entry/exit log work?

When you log in to the app, Bio Plus Lock will update your entry and exit log to show past events that have occurred since you last checked the log. You can see who locked or unlocked the door, when it happened, and what method they used (app, fingerprint, code). You can also see a record of break-in attempts and 5 consecutive failed access attempts.

How does the one-time code work?

Every 4 hours, Bio Plus Lock generates several random access codes that can each be used once. You don't need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to generate the code. Simply go to the app > Manage codes > Generate code > One-time code, and the app will generate the code for you. Now remember it or share the address!

How does sharing door access from the app work?

Share via the Control app to make sure everyone can get in. You can share the smart lock with up to 50 people and revoke access at any time.

What else can a BIO lock do?

The Bio Plus lock has a built-in alarm that will alert you if your door is jammed or if there are more than 5 consecutive incorrect attempts to open the door. It also has an auto-lock option that will automatically lock the door after a selected period of time. Finally, you can adjust your users' access by access type (fingerprint, code, app) and schedules (times, dates)!

What do we do on Saturday?

On Shabbat, simply press the lock's disable button, and use the mechanical keys we provide you. After disabling, there will be no power at all to the smart lock. You can turn the lock back on by pressing it again on Saturday.
