How long does it take to install the digital viewfinder?

It takes less than 15 minutes to install the digital peephole - replace the existing door peephole with the digital peephole and assemble the installation panel on the inside of the door.

Do I need a technician for installation?

No technician is required for installation, but there is the option of installation by a certified technician if you purchased a smart lock with installation along with the digital viewfinder.

Where can I install the digital viewfinder?

The digital peephole can only be installed in place of the existing peephole in the door. If you do not have a peephole hole in your door, a qualified technician can make one for you. If you would like to install a door camera not on the door , but instead, on the door frame or near the door, we recommend our video doorbell camera.

What is the field of view (FOV) for the digital viewfinder?

The FOV is 170º horizontal and 170º vertical. You can see almost everything in front of your door, from head to toe, including packages on the floor.

Does the digital viewfinder use batteries? How long is the battery life?

Yes, our digital viewfinder is powered by internal, non-removable lithium-ion batteries. The battery life is 3-6 months under normal use, and the digital viewfinder can be recharged using the included USB cable.

Is there motion detection in the digital viewfinder?

Yes, and you can receive alerts whenever motion is detected (via the infrared body heat sensor).

How much memory does the camera have? Can I insert a memory card?

The digital viewfinder saves images from motion detection up to 3 days ago. It is possible and recommended to insert a memory card to automatically save clips from motion detection. In addition, there is an option to purchase a subscription to save videos to the cloud in the app*.

Is it possible to experience the digital viewfinder for permanent electrical wiring?

The digital viewfinder does not support direct wiring to power.

Does the digital viewfinder include a doorbell that takes pictures at home?

The digital viewfinder does not include a doorbell. If you need one, we recommend our video doorbell camera, which has a doorbell for ringing inside the house.

Is the digital viewfinder weatherproof?

Yes, the digital viewfinder is IP65 rated for weatherproofing for outdoor installation. This means it is "dust-tight" and protected against water splashes from any angle.

Can I control the ringtone volume?

Yes, you can adjust the volume in the Tuya app, in your doorbell settings.
